Christophe Decarnin is out at Balmain, the label finally admitted recently, following reports the designer was suffering from mental illness. An announcement about his replacement is expected “in the next two to three days,” British Elle reports. Though stylist Melanie Ward, who joined Balmain following the departure of new French Vogue editor Emmanuelle Alt, was rumored to be in the running to replace Decarnin, British Elle’s source says otherwise.
