Now that she’s freelance, Carine Roitfeld can take on all those glamorous projects she was supposed to ignore when she was editor of French Vogue, such as styling the Barneys catalogue and windows — and the Chanel campaign. Roitfeld’s successor at French Vogue, Emmanuelle Alt, has also styled for Chanel in the past. The fall 2011 campaign shoot Roitfeld did starred Freja Beha Erichsen and just wrapped. “The mix with Freja was genius,” Karl Lagerfeld told WWD. Why, he doesn’t say — because Freja is always in the Chanel ads. (“I like to work with the same girls and boys all the time,” Karl confesses.)
