Exclusive Video: See Kate Spade’s First Bike, Designed for ‘Tootling Around Town’

Kate Spade creative director Deborah Lloyd is the first to admit that she’s “a fair-weather bike rider,” preferring leisurely rides to the Brooklyn Flea over harrowing rush-hour commutes. It’s fitting, then, that she chose to collaborate with Adeline Adeline, a downtown boutique that stocks vintage-style bikes created by graphic designer Julie Hirschfeld. “[They’re] not hard-core, athletic bikes, but beautifully crafted bikes for tootling around town,” said Lloyd. “We wanted a bike that was comfortable and lightweight and that you could wear a dress and high heels on.” And based on this exclusive video of their result, it appears they’ve succeeded.

The Kate Spade for Adeline Adeline bike is available now at Adeline Adeline for $1,100.
