There’s no such thing as a slow news day when it comes to royal-wedding-themed stories, with even the most tenuous connections to the main event (now only nine days away, eek!) leading to giddy speculation. Here’s a selection of what we’ve learned today:
• The Middleton family now has a traditional coat of arms featuring acorns and a blue ribbon, the latter of which apparently symbolizes an unwed daughter. (Ouch, poor Pippa.) It’ll be merged with Prince William’s own crest after next week’s wedding, and later, Kate will receive her own new design befitting her soon-to-be status as princess. [People]
• Both Will and Kate’s coat of arms will feature on the official wedding program, which will be distributed by scouts along the wedding parade’s route on the big day. [Official Royal Wedding]
• Here are some highlights from the Lifetime movie dramatizing William and Kate’s romance. [Jezebel]
