Within a month of tapping Olivier Rousteing to replace Christophe Decarnin, Balmain announced plans to launch a diffusion collection of men’s and women’s clothing in September for the spring 2012 season. Named Pierre Balmain after the label’s founder, the line “will be younger and designed by a new team,” a spokesperson stated today. [Telegraph UK]
