Carla Bruni Is Pregnant, Says Nicolas Sarkozy’s Dad

Soon-to-be grandpa Pal Sarkozy spilled the beans to German newspaper Bild that his daughter-in-law is indeed with child (this won’t be Pal’s first grandkid). “The two do not want to know the gender in advance, but I’m sure it will be a girl and as beautiful as Carla,” he said. Sarkozy’s office hasn’t confirmed or denied the pregnancy, insisting that they don’t comment on his private life. Meanwhile, Bruni made appearance on French TF1 television yesterday wearing an unusually frumpy blouse and pants, and when the presenter wished her congratulations, she giggled and coyly congratulated him back.
