Moda Operandi, Lauren Santo Domingo’s ritzy new members-only shopping website, secured its second round of funding on Friday after hunting for new investors this past month. The biggest contributor to their $10 million infusion is New Enterprise Associates, which Moda Operandi chose because of its presence in Asia, according to MO co-founder Aslaug Magnúsdottir: “NEA has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Bangalore and Mumbai. Both China and India are among our target core markets for the future.” They’re also planning to launch iPhone and iPad apps soon so that you can preorder your $5,220 Missoni dress while standing in line at Starbucks.
