Sunglasses are a functional, go-with-everything summer essential. Unfortunately, some of this season’s most covetable pairs also pack a hefty price tag, like Super’s Lucia shades (inset), $165 at Gargyle. It’s a tough splurge to justify if, like us, you’re liable to sit on them or leave them in a cab. Luckily, London-based company Spitfire renders classic and trendy shapes in acetate for a fraction of the price. This tortoiseshell, slightly cat-eye Weekend style — thankfully devoid of logos or embellishments — could pass for a designer pair.
Weekend tortoiseshell shades, $36 at Old Hollywood.
