Forever 21 Has Never Been Found Guilty of Copyright Infringement

Forever 21 has faced dozens of copyright-infringement lawsuits from around 40 different designers, but all of the cases have been settled quietly out of court. Do Won “Don” Chang, Forever 21’s founder, says that the company’s policy is simply to trust their vendors not to knock off other people’s designs. “I have in the past overly trusted people and was, in turn, let down by some,” Chang told the Guardian. “Since then I have learned the difference between putting faith into people and blindly trusting them.” [Guardian UK]
