Unsurprisingly, it seems that Tamara Mellon has also jumped the sinking ship that is Halston following last week’s exodus of Sarah Jessica Parker, Harvey Weinstein, and designer Marios Schwab. Mellon was responsible for Weinstein’s initial investment in the fashion house, which has now been entirely taken over by Hilco Consumer Capital. On Friday, rumors surfaced that Hilco was attempting to poach Ben Malka, the president of BCBG Max Azria Group, to take over at the ailing label; Malka quickly denied plans to do anything of the sort.
