The three debut covers for former Pop editor Dasha Zhukova’s new magazine, Garage, came out today; they’re all printed with a quote by artist John Baldessari, “I will not get anymore boring tattoos.” This references the magazine’s INKED project, which got artists like Richard Prince, Jeff Koons, and Baldessari himself to design tattoos that were then applied — permanently — to willing subjects. Case in point: One cover features a butterfly sticker that peels off to reveal model Shauna Taylor’s tattooed crotch (the tattoo was done by Mo Coppoletta and designed by Damien Hirst). On another cover, shot by Nick Knight, a doll that is supposedly meant to look like Lily Donaldson plays inside a house designed by Dinos Chapman, while the third cover features a smiley-face drawing by Richard Prince.
