In Moscow over the weekend promoting her new movie, Sarah Jessica Parker attended a press call in a bright red gown and cape from Giambattista Valli’s first couture collection, and maybe brought a little wind machine with her, judging by this shot. Back in the States, Lady Gaga went to a pre-VMAs dinner the night before the main event dressed like a lady instead of a pretend dude in a low-cut red jacket, skinny pants, and high platform heels, accessorized with a red clutch, a chunky silver necklace by Erickson Beamon, tinted sunglasses, and long fingernails painted black.
So we have two takes on statement red here — and very different ones at that. Do you prefer SJP’s flounce and flow, or Gaga’s tight lines and drama? Would either, or both, have benefited from another color to temper the look?
