Cult skin-care brand Aesop opened its first stand-alone store in Nolita earlier this month, with a second store in the works on University Place. The Parsley Seed Facial Cleaner is the latest addition to the line. After using it daily for a few weeks, we’re hooked. The antioxidant-packed gel incorporates natural ingredients like licorice root, blackcurrant seed, and parsley seed to wash away grime and clarify pores. The lactic acid acts as a gentle exfoliant, sloughing off blackhead-causing dead cells without rubbing your skin raw like scrubs. The cleanser is absorbed into the skin, hydrating while it lathers. (It’s a great option for those with chronic dry skin or those prone to acne flare-ups.) Though it’s a splurge, a quarter-sized dab goes a long way.
