Gisele is pretty much Teflon. If you’re the kind of person who pays attention to your Gisele Google News Alerts, you’ve probably forgotten that she called sunscreen “poison,” or that she once said, “I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.” Funny how fellow supermodel Kate Moss has the same effect on the world after she does much worse things than that. But such is the life of a really hot person. Ironically, that hotness is at the crux of Gisele’s latest controversy, involving commercials for her line of Hope lingerie. Now that Brazilian officials have documented at least six complaints about the ads, they’re trying to get them pulled from the air. In the offending commercials, Gisele pretends to tell her husband about things like crashing his car and maxing out his credit card, with the implication that it’s better to do these things when you’re wearing her Hope lingerie. A voice over goes, “You’re a Brazilian woman — use your charm.”
