At Mark Ronson’s wedding earlier this month, mother of the groom Ann Dexter-Jones kept trying to remove her shoes to cut the rug. “I was wearing St. Laurent bronze platform shoes, and it was in the countryside, so it wasn’t a dance floor, and I kept kicking them off,” she told us at the Glamour Icons book launch on Tuesday. “And Kate Moss, sweetly, on many occasions that night, helped me put them on again to get up and down. She said to me, ‘Ann, you have got to put your shoes on. It finishes the outfit.’”
Although Ronson and his bride Josephine de la Baume didn’t have a honeymoon planned, he surprised her with an African safari trip. Dexter-Jones advised her son that this could be unwise, since de la Baume would need to pack certain clothes, but he insisted. “He said, ‘Well, I gave a few hints about the clothes she would need, and she can get them there.’ I said, ‘I don’t think there’s a Paragon in Africa.’”
