The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, which awards cash and mentors to select designers each year, has decided to give a few of the finalists in the annual contest a bonus trip to Paris. Because like the Price Is Right, some fame and cash prizes are nothing without fabulous European getaways to go with them. Tommy Hilfiger is sponsoring a new program that will send ten former finalists to Paris, where they will get to show their clothes to buyers who might not have made it to New York Fashion Week — so it’s pretty great free exposure. The lucky designers that get to show their stuff October 1 though 3 are Prabal Gurung, Sophie Theallet, Simon Spurr, Billy Reid, Eddie Borgo, Monique Péan, Ohne Titel, George Esquivel, Gregory Parkinson, and Pamela Love.
