As part of new merchandising plans to increase the scope of the store as a luxury destination, Barneys is adding new lines and exclusives across the clothing and home departments. These will include Lanvin’s childrenswear line (there’ll be a kids’ photo booth, too, but just for fun), $24,900 fur throws, packaged food from Fred’s in-store restaurant, and “dog accessories from Bottega Veneta and Moncler, and other luxury brands … so the pooch can look as natty as the owner,” says WWD.
