Milan Refuses to Change Its Show Dates to Avoid Overlapping With New York and London Fashion Weeks

Oh God, it’s a full-blown cris-hiss. Milan refuses to change its show dates for September of next year so as not to overlap with New York and London Fashion Weeks, even after Condé Nast’s Vogue editors have pledged to boycott the Italian shows. As it stands, Milan’s shows will begin on the last day of New York Fashion Week and continue right through London Fashion Week.

“Let the best one win,” Mario Boselli, head of the Chamber, told WWD. “Italian designers unanimously agreed on the schedule, from the smallest brand to the biggest. They showed great solidarity and Italian pride.”
