Jennifer Hudson attended a VH1 Divas concert over the weekend at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. For her appearance on the red carpet, she wore pieces from Francesco Scognamiglio’s fall 2011 collection: a nude V-neck mini dress with some lacy ruffles, a thick nude choker, and a pair of thigh-high sparkly boots. She added a pair of hoop earrings, and a cluster of chunky bracelets.
Would the clean lines of this knit dress have looked better without the ruffly embellishment? And could Jennifer be starting a fabric choker trend revival, or are some things best left in the late ‘90s?
