Two more designers have officially hopped on the kids’ clothing train: Isaac Mizrahi and London-based Roksanda Ilincic. Isaac’s line will be just for infants, and sold at various department stores. Of course, his expansion into babywear sparks rumors that he might be adopting a wee one of his own; he wed his longtime boyfriend Arnold Germer in November, and they’re about to move into an enormous new apartment downtown. (When WWD asked him about it, he gave a very positive-sounding maybe: “Once we have moved in perhaps then we will talk about inhabiting all those rooms.”)
In other kids’ clothes news, Ilincic debuted her first children’s line yesterday, inspired by her own 18-month-old daughter Efima. All ten pieces are simply miniature versions of her latest main collection, and will retail from $300 to $500.
