Kate Middleton Signs Up for Charity Run; Sex and the City Prequel TV Pilot Ordered

• Kate Middleton will run in a mile-long race through central London as part of a Sports Relief charity event in March. [Grazia Daily]

• Chanel hosts a special, luxe event for its “Numéros Privés” installation at the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas, flying nearly 200 guests into town on Friday via private jet. Expected VIPs include Jessica Alba, Alexa Chung, Brad Goreski, Bee Shaffer, and assorted editors. They’ll get to walk through a special white pearl-beaded curtain to enter the exhibit, as a tribute to Coco Chanel’s quintessential pearl necklaces. [WWD]

• Five Parsons alumni won a competition sponsored by Christian Louboutin and will produce collections inspired by the brand’s classic shoe silhouettes, to be unveiled at Louboutin’s twentieth anniversary event early next month. [WWD]

Mulberry’s wholesale orders for spring–summer 2012 are currently up 35 percent compared to the spring–summer 2011 end-of-season total with more than two months of the selling season remaining. [Reuters]
