MAC cosmetics is said to be in discussion with a commercial landlord for a store space on Fifth Avenue, with an asking price of more than $3,000 per square foot. At roughly 1,400 square feet, the location at 691 Fifth (currently housing Elizabeth Arden) would cost the makeup company at least $4.2 million in rental fees.
