Puffy down coats are the practical (albeit bland) default that one reaches for when the weather gets brutally cold and snowy. While this past winter has been rather mild, boldly printed versions of the puffer are popping up on the London runways — just in case next year won’t be as forgiving. Peter Pilotto rendered cropped parkas in blue and green versions of his signature digital print, while Roksanda Ilincic made a cropped, overstuffed puffer in abstract black and white plaid. At Christopher Kane, a below-the-knee quilted coat featured a trompe l’oeil wood print in the color of season.
