Now that it’s a wrap for Milan, the fur trend that emerged in New York has officially continued through the first three weeks of fashion month. But rather than pieces of pelts in weird arrangements — a strip at the hem of a sweater, fuzzy sleeves, or trim on a coat — - full-on fur sweaters are popping up on the runways. At Aquilano e Rimondi, a navy long-sleeved knit with a chest panel of smooth fur had a matching pencil skirt for a daytime take. Conversely, at Roberto Cavalli, a short-sleeved knit was paired with a nightclub-friendly, sparkly emerald miniskirt. Finally, at Fendi’s bohemian-infused show, a slouchy sweater with bits of shaggy dip-dyed fur was layered over a patchwork-printed mohair pencil skirt.
