A British retail chain is under fire for a set of sexist washing instructions printed on garment care labels. Jeans sold at Madhouse stores contain the suggestion that wearers “give [them] to your woman, it’s her job.” Of course, this try-hard attempt at “laddish” humor falls flat; instead it’s rightfully been taken by many customers as sexist and embarrassingly outdated. There’s also the question of how single dudes should deal with cleaning the pants — because, after all, living in a cave does get dirty.
