Curbed writes that the J.Crew president and creative director sold her home at 178 Garfield Place to a pair named Tracy and Vincent Martin (update: “Vincent” is Vince Clarke, of Depeche Mode and Erasure!)  for $4 million, 7 percent over the asking price, after five months on the market. Among the seven-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath townhouse’s amenities: “an open double parlor, beautiful (but not fussy) plaster cornices & medallions, aged pine floors, and seven restored limestone mantels … an eat-in cook’s kitchen with top of the line appliances, large private terrace off the master bedroom and a cellar that has been converted to a media room for entertaining” — what, no duck phone or rooftop hammock? Lyons now reportedly resides at Tribeca’s American Express Carriage House.
