Vogue Paris riled up the Twittersphere last Friday with a tweet reading: “France gave the US the Statue of Liberty, now we are taking Vogue.fr to the wider world… get ready for .” The Cut spoke with Jennifer Neyt, editor-in-chief of the glossy’s website, who explained that come Monday, Vogue.fr will have both a French flag and a British flag on its navigation bar, allowing readers to switch between the two versions of the site. For now, there won’t be any original articles in English — just Vogue.fr’s content in the language we know and love speak. The translation efforts will be headed up by Kate Matthams-Spencer, who will be working out of Condé Nast Digital’s Paris office. But most important: Will the good news be celebrated with another Emmanuelle Alt lip sync? Don’t leave us hanging on like a yo-yo.
