The brand shot its summer collection in Ubud, on the steps of sacred temple Pura Kehen and also hanging out with the local youth, who were clothed in traditional adat dress. As HuffPo points out, an Instagram user has already attempted to start the backlash, writing, “Come on, J. Crew. Accessorizing with brown kids is so 2010.” (One of the models also posed with a half-eaten mangosteen — models … food … surely that is the most arresting image of all.)
