Carine Roitfeld, Janet Jackson, Karl Lagerfeld, and More at Last Night’s amfAR Gala in Cannes
The amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala in Cannes is always such a splashy affair. Everyone parks their yachts, puts on their most exciting dresses, and arrives right on time so that they can get their red-carpet photos taken in that flattering sunset glow. This year’s gala was held at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, and set a new record by raising almost $11 million for AIDS research. Carine Roitfeld “curated” a fashion show that took place during the event (the clothes were all black, naturally, and Kate Upton walked in it); Jessie J performed during dinner; and Karl Lagerfeld auctioned off an opportunity to star in a movie directed by him and produced by Harvey Weinstein. Oh, and everyone looked awesome. Click through our slideshow to see what Kylie Minogue, Janet Jackson, Milla Jovovich, Kirsten Dunst, Diane Kruger, Heidi Klum, Paris Hilton, and countless other movie stars, models, and famous people wore.
Speaking of parties and sunsets, we’re taking off to enjoy the long weekend! We’ll resume blogging on Tuesday. Happy Memorial Day, kids.
