Hermès Praises French Police for Busting International Crime Ring That Included Hermès Employees

The company called itself “very satisfied with the efficient and diligent collaboration established with the national gendarmerie” that already saw two staffers fired and a dozen more people arrested yesterday after police found an atelier stocked with leather skins, WWD reports. The crime ring did at least $22 million in sales producing fraudulent bags, and no word yet on what Hermès plans to do with what’s left of them, though we have some ideas.
