Singing Tavi’s praises (and praising her singing) in a story for the new WSJ magazine, Glass says: “I wasn’t that confident at her age, and I’m not that confident now. I’m not being facetious. I’m a reporter — if I don’t interview someone, I don’t have much to say and I definitely can’t just sit down and knock out 800 words on any subject you give me. On a school night. With trig homework. I mean, respect. I wish there was a way to punctuate that, so it’s like someone in a rap video. Re-spect.” Ob-viously.
