If the number of independent fashion publications crowding the shelves of New York’s newsstands is anything to go by, reports of the death of print would seem to be greatly exaggerated. Which thankfully means we’ll always have somewhere to gaze upon Michael Pitt, Chloë Sevigny, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and James Franco. From the better-known and amply funded — Dazed, i-D, Purple — to niche publications like Bullett, Oyster, and Ruush, we’ve got the lowdown on the odd, the innovative, and the magazines you’ve never heard of.
