First Looks: Ippolita’s New Gem-Filled Flagship
When jeweler Ippolita Rostagno envisioned her first-ever boutique, opening today on Madison Avenue, she modeled it after her own townhouse in Brooklyn, right down to the Venetian plastered walls and sanded walnut-wood detailing. Designed by Jeffrey Hutchison, who also created Ippolita’s shop-in-shops at Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s, the pocket-size space is both cozy and modern, with spare glass cases housing the label’s trademark candy-colored gemstone jewelry. Here you can find Ippolita standbys like the stackable Lollipop bangle bracelets, available in every gemstone color of the rainbow, as well as rarer pieces like the diamond-sprinkled Stardust collection. To coincide with the new flagship, the label is also launching handbags made from colorful hand-painted python and contrasting suede panels. See more in our slideshow.
