The singer tweeted photos of her latest haircut last night — a pyramidal shape shaved into her scalp. With Gaga’s love of zany wigs (and tattoos and prostheses and so on … ), a bare patch in the back is actually somewhat of an understated style statement, but the message accompanying the new do’s debut makes its significance clear: “I did it for u Terry [Richardson]. I’m sorry about ure mommy.” (A bouquet would have been too obvious.) Richardson’s mother, Annie Lomax, passed away yesterday; the photographer chronicled her last hours in ICU with an emotive and uncensored series of shots posted on his Tumblr.
