Among the visibly excited crowd leaving Monday’s Christopher Kane show was one happy Jaime Perlman. “It was beautiful — everyone from Vogue was so uplifted by it. It’s certainly a favorite from London this season. He reinvents himself every time — it felt so grown-up and expensive, but also very, very cool. I loved all those weird pink dresses at the end.”

Afterward, Perlman had to go back to work like everyone else. But when you’re the creative director of British Vogue, that means a shoot with Mario Testino. Her lips were sealed on the details, but she confirmed that it “went really well.”

She hoped to see the Richard Nicoll show, wearing a “so beautiful” blue leather dress by the designer for the occasion. Sadly, the shoot ran over, and she didn’t make it. “It looked amazing. I saw all the colors on Twitter, and it was a fabulous collection — what Richard does best: a bit minimal and strict, but also otherworldly and ethereal. The colors he uses are always really surprising and interesting.”

Perlman’s evening plans? Dinner with friends, followed by the Kenzo party at Liberty (“I’m excited — Blood Orange is playing”). She packed a black Kenzo dress to change into: “I know, I’m very strategic.”
