New York Fashion Week’s Top Models: Karlie Kloss, Marine Deleeuw, Kati Nescher, and More
Now that New York Fashion Week’s wrapped, we took the weekend to analyze the openers and closers at 70 of spring 2013’s top shows, and, using math and other magic, we came up with a list of this season’s most prolific walkers. In a runaway first place: Karlie Kloss, who booked seven big slots, including the first and last looks at both Oscar de la Renta and Anna Sui. For her inaugural NYC tour, French newcomer Marine Deleeuw opened two shows (BCBG Max Azria and rag & bone) and closed two (Jill Stuart and Marc by Marc Jacobs), nabbing a joint second place, shared with runway veteran Julia Nobis. Kati Nescher and Vanessa Axente picked up prime spots at three different shows, and no roundup would be complete without honorable mentions, who are actually deserving of the Top Model title in any context … like Carolyn Murphy (who opened Jason Wu and closed Marchesa) and, of course, Naomi Campbell for her stunning turn at Zac Posen.
