In London today, Christopher Kane showed sophisticated classics reimagined with perverse attitude. Details included wide ribbons of looped fabric, strips of black masking tape, and rubber bows, but nothing was more intriguing than the Frankenstein-inspired nuts and bolts. They replaced fastenings and adorned shoes — and far from looking like a novelty, they achieved a kind of dark magic.
