This morning’s Vera Wang spring 2013 collection was a pageant of opulent textures and details — gold embroidery, gold jeweled brocade, and even gold hammered bullion skirts. But amid the gold was an unexpected hue: chartreuse! The color behaved like a walking exclamation point on the runway, seen in a pair of damask faille pajama trousers (prediction: a styling staple for next year), and in this arresting hand-pieced chantilly lace dress.
