Duffy told Port magazine, “I was asked if I thought [Jacobs] could do it, and I said ‘yes’. It was really complicated because he didn’t really want to do it and they [Dior] were really happy with the choice that they made, so everything came out great … I think that he felt that because when I was asked if I thought that he was capable of doing that and I said ‘yes’, he thought that meant I wanted him to do it, and that’s not what I meant at all, but we straightened it all out in the end and it worked out just fine. But, I know it sounds so silly now, we had a big fight over it.”
