Today, the CFDA and Vogue announced its new Fashion for Sandy Relief initiative, which includes a Charity Buzz auction with items like “Attend a Fashion Week Fashion Show with Anna Wintour, Tour the Vogue Offices, Have Lunch in the Condé Nast Cafeteria and Take Home a Vogue Goodie Bag” (estimated value: $50,000), “2 Tickets to Attend the Highly Prestigious 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards on June 3 in New York” (estimated value: $15,000), “Meet the Designers of Helmut Lang and Attend the Fall 2013 Fashion Show on February 8 Then Go Shopping with a $7,500 Gift Card” (estimated value: $10,000), and “4 Tickets to Watch What Happens Live and a Toast with Andy Cohen After the Show” (estimated value: $4,000).

But the absolute best prize — aside from being able to help those affected by the storm, of course — is “Graydon Carter of Vanity Fair Will Be Your Waiter for Dinner at the Beatrice Inn.” Currently priced at $300, Mr. Carter’s waitering skills are valued at a mere $1,500, and the description doesn’t indicate how many people you can bring, i.e., I’m free whenever and great at sending back food because it’s too hot/too cold/just right. “Also,” Vogue.com writes, “on November 16, the Tory Burch Foundation joins Fashion for Sandy Relief to hold a sample sale of clothes from Tory Burch, Carolina Herrera, Theory, J.Crew, Valentino, and more from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Metropolitan Pavilion.”
