An “EU advisory committee” compiled a list of 100 allergens found in scents that “put EU citizens at risk” (because of … their elitist European noses), and the group wants to ban tree moss, found in Chanel No. 5 and Dior’s Miss Dior. Dissenter Sylvie Jourdet, from the French perfumer’s society, told the Telegraph: “Chanel No. 5 has never done any harm to anyone … It is the death of perfume if this [proposed ban] continues. The more you use natural ingredients, the more there is a risk of allergies. Lemon, jasmine, bergamot all contain allergenics.” It’s like when that one kid at school can’t eat peanuts, so no one in a fifteen-mile radius can eat PB&J. This is exactly like that.
