In what WWD calls an “unprecedented collaboration” between Chinese and U.S. officials, a major international counterfeiting ring has been shut down, and more than 20,000 knockoff bags have been seized. According to reports, the fakes included Louis Vuitton, Coach, and Hermès; in other words, if you were planning to stuff your nieces’ stockings with $5 faux-Coach wristlets this Christmas, it’s time to come up with a plan B.
