Ang Lee admitted to choosing Life of Pi’s Suraj Sharma for his looks, and we gotta admit, the director has some good taste. His brown eyes and tan skin, lean body, full lips, and salted, seawater-soaked mane make him a much better castaway than Tom Hanks ever was. And, off-screen, we’re enjoying his newly shorn hair. While it may be Sharma’s first acting role, it’ll be a nice weekend distraction to see him smolder onscreen as Piscine Patel, or “Pi,” a shipwrecked boy from Pondicherry sharing screen time with a surly CGI Bengal tiger. Oh, to be that digital tiger.
