In an interview with WWD, Mallory Hagan, the FIT student and Park Slope resident who was crowned Miss America over the weekend, wouldn’t name her favorite designers or labels: “I will keep that to myself for now. When I’m done being Miss America, I will tell you a myriad of names.” Just as well — for the next year, Hagan is obligated to wear Canadian brand Joseph Ribkoff (also a sponsor of the pageant) for all of her official appearances. When asked about the obvious irony of the situation, Hagan explained, “It shouldn’t matter where the clothing comes from,” because she’ll be focusing on education and empowering the ladies. Sure, sure — Donald Trump wouldn’t allow it.
