Marc Jacobs is postponing his show from his normal Monday night time slot to Thursday due to the impending winter storm, according to unnamed sources. The adorably named blizzard Nemo is supposed to hit New York tomorrow, making it even harder for fashion people to catch cabs between shows, and ruining everyone’s cute shoes. Bad weather could also delay deliveries and make it difficult for Jacobs’s staff to commute to work over the weekend. Jacobs pulled the same move in September 2011, citing Hurricane Irene-related complications and moving his show to Thursday night at 8:30 p.m. The switch will undoubtedly cause problems for all the people traveling to the London shows, which start Friday.

Update: WWD reports that Jacobs’s new time slot is Thursday, Feburary 14 at 8 p.m. (Happy Valentine’s Day!) Marc Jacobs president Robert Duffy adds that they’re suffering from late deliveries already, and released the following statement:

Marc and I are extremely sorry for this inconvenience. We just want to have the best show possible and show all the product that our design team has been working on so hard for the last six months. We completely understand if people have to get on a plane to go to London. We’re not expecting people to change those plans or other plans just for us. We are live streaming the show. Still, we recognize the significant inconvenience and are very sorry about the situation.

Meanwhile, the Marc by Marc Jacobs show has been bumped up from Tuesday at 4 p.m. to Marc Jacobs’s original time slot on Monday at 8 p.m., although it may not be in its usual location, the Armory, since the Marc Jacobs set is already under construction there. Duffy says he’ll keep everyone posted on the venue.
