Rag & Bone Defects to London Collections: Men

In a coup for London Collections: Men, rag & bone has decided to unveil its next range at the menswear week’s third iteration in June (and not NYFW), joining brands like Burberry and Tom Ford. Marcus Wainwright and David Neville, rag & bone’s managing partners, said: “Menswear is what originally put our brand on the map and our British roots have heavily influenced our aesthetic, so we felt strongly about showing our SS 2014 collection in our hometown. London is important to us on several levels — it’s where we opened our European flagship store last summer — and with LC:M gathering momentum each season, we feel incredibly excited to be a part of it.” Not to mention Wainwright and Neville are shifting to the menswear cycle (more $$$) and will only have to turn out women’s ready-to-wear for September and February (more sanity). Sounds like a win-win … and like New York Men’s Fashion Week is never going to happen!
