The Best Gems of All Time The Dresden Green

The Dresden Green

Weighing in at 41 carats, the Dresden Green is the largest "naturally green" diamond to date. During World War II, this got locked away in Germany's Green Vaults (clearly for its protection) — only to get stolen by a stealthy Russian organization called the "Soviet Trophies Commission." The gem (and the other stolen jewels) were later returned to Dresden and, today, it resides once more in the Green Vaults.
