Anthony Weiner has adopted Sheryl Sandberg’s corporate feminist catchphrase, the New York Post has noticed. He aims to “lean in to the tough decisions,” according to his Keys to the City manifesto, and he hopes to “lean into reform,” he said at a transportation forum. As for his personal life, on the other hand, he’s trying to let things come to him and “be less about leaning into every element of [his] life.” His campaign staff denies that his repeat use of the term is an attempt to subliminally appeal to much needed female voters. He really is just leaning in, after briefly leaning out and, in his case, to the left.
