Did Rick Owens Just Discover the Song of Summer?

For his spring 2014 show, designer Rick Owens asked “scary, sleazy, and over the top” Estonian hardcore punk band and Eurovision 2013 contestants, Winny Puuh, to share the runway —  or, at least, the space above the runway. Why? He’s just rooting for the underdog. As he told the New York Times, “They were on Eurovision and they lost … And I love a loser.”

As you can see from these Vines, attendees of the show immediately fell in love with the band who sported Wookie face masks and black wrestling singles, as they entered the runway screeching (or singing) and later played suspended from the ceiling. Thanks to Owens, Winny Puhh’s “Meiecundimees üks Korsakov läks eile Lätti” is almost certainly now a strong contender for the song of the summer. Worried, Miley ?
