Glittery embellishments, whether in the form of pajamas or on dresses, are making for a big resort trend. At Burberry Prorsum, giant gems dotted everything from the collars and shoulders of coats to tees and sweaters. A curve hugging white dress featuring an elaborately encrusted bodice closed the collection and will be a guaranteed red carpet stunner on whichever starlet is lucky enough to nab the look.

Over at Marc Jacobs, models reclined against furry blankets and pillows clad in slinky pencil skirts, bed jackets, and calf-length dresses covered in sequins to create glamorous vignettes. Amid the sparkly pieces was one particularly familiar look — a tweed cropped jacket with a bright blue fur collar, as seen on Anna Wintour last night. Though Anna opted to wear a classic a-line dress underneath, the original styling showed that the navel-baring trend would still have legs come next year.

Michael Kors turned to the seventies for his resort collection, updating the silhouette by mixing in Lucite accents, graphic color-blocking and modernist takes on leopard and giraffe prints, including a gown worn by Jennifer Lopez at the Met Gala. A delicate head-to-toe lace outfit offered a feminine counterpoint to the strong lines of the collection and would be equally as pretty when broken into separates.
